Disney vacations are magical experiences, no matter how short or long your trip is. For many guests, staying DVC is a splurge. Staying DVC is a wonderful way to upgrade your vacation into deluxe experience that you won’t soon forget. While many guests prefer traveling to Disney to experience the theme parks and stay for several days, there are ways to only stay for one night and still have a great time. If you are planning a short trip, or you only have one night to stay at a DVC resort, then continue reading on how to make it feel like a full vacation.

Arrive Early

One simple way to make your one night stay feel longer and more complete is to arrive at your resort as early as you possibly can. Your room might not be ready until the late afternoon, but you can leave your bags with bell services and explore your resort whenever you arrive. If you can’t get a flight for early in the day, then consider flying in the night before and spending one night in a cheaper hotel off property. You can check-out early and head to your Disney resort as soon as you are able to. We like to eat breakfast at our Disney resort so that the vacation really feels like it begins there!

Experience the Disney Waterparks

Thanks to Disney’s promotion for 2026, guests staying at a Disney resort during the summer get free admission to the waterparks during their check-in day. Even if you are staying for just one night, you are still able to take advantage of this incredible deal. As soon as you drop your bags off you can head over to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon and spend the entire day there. This is a great way to experience the magic of the Disney parks during your short visit!

Enjoy A Table-Service Meal

Reserving a table-service meal at your DVC resort can really fill your time in the best way. Something about sitting down for a meal at a Disney restaurant really makes you feel like you’re on vacation! If you book a character dining experience then you have the magic of meeting characters without the admission to a Disney park. Some of our favorite restaurants at DVC resorts include Chef Mickey’s and Cape May Cafe.

Stay Late The Next Day

Just as you left your bags with bell services on check-in day, you can do the same during your check-out day. You don’t have to stop exploring your resort just because you had to check-out of your room. You can easily spend another full day playing around your DVC resort while you wait for your flight home.
