How To Experience Disney World’s Water Parks

Typhoon Lagoon

Disney World is a massive property that truly does feel like its own world. It’s home to 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. It has a large shopping and entertainment center that is free to enter called Disney Springs. It houses dozens of Disney resorts ranging from value to deluxe. And it is also home to two fantastic water parks that are unlike any water parks you have ever experienced before. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are the parks that are filled with water fun as well as Disney theming and immersion. But how do you experience them? Continue reading to learn more.

Which Park to Visit?

Blizzard Beach is a uniquely themed waterpark modeled after a ski resort that hit a heatwave. Guests enjoy the theming of the fake snow and the idea of toboggans and bathing suits. The ski lift that takes guests to certain slides adds to the theming. It has a wonderful children’s play area as well. Typhoon Lagoon is another beautifully designed waterpark where guests play in an area that was destroyed by a typhoon. Typhoon Tilly is the landmark of the park which is famous for its massive wave pool. So which park should you visit? That depends on which park is open during your stay. Both parks are rarely open at once, with Blizzard Beach typically operating during the winter and spring, and Typhoon Lagoon operating during summer and fall.

Guests can purchase a one-day ticket for the waterparks or even a season pass if they plan on visiting again and again. In addition to this, there is a waterpark add-on option that guests can purchase for their vacation package. Interested guests should visit Disney’s website for more details.
