A Disney vacation is full of activity. Guests vacationing at the Disney parks will enjoy days full of attractions, characters, shows, and entertainment. Disney World vacations are also known to be exhausting. With so much to do and see, it can be tiring to try and do it all without stopping. Building breaks into your Disney day is essential and is necessary to reduce burnout and keep everyone in y0ur family happy and energized. If you have an upcoming vacation planned to the Disney parks, then don’t forget to build in some breaks! Here are some of our best tips on how to build-in breaks during your Disney day.
Make Dining Reservations
Enjoying a sit-down meal during your day at the parks is a great way to have a built-in break. Typically, guests report becoming tired during the late afternoon which makes lunch time the perfect time for a meal. By making a dining reservation between 1 and 3pm, guests can enjoy up to an hour of air-conditioning, rest, and a great meal. Character dining experiences are the perfect way to keep the magic going during your rest. Restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table, The Crystal Palace, or Garden Grill all bring your favorite Disney characters to your table while you dine. After your dining reservation, you’ll find yourself energized and ready to hit the parks once again!

Stop and Enjoy Shows
When visiting Disney World, you not only have access to wonderful rides but you also have access to top tier entertainment and shows. By taking the time to stop and enjoy a show you are giving yourself a great opportunity to rest. Popular shows at Magic Kingdom include Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Mickey’s PhilarMagic. At Hollywood Studios, guests can enjoy For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong Celebration. Magic Kingdom also runs the Festival of Fantasy Parade during the day, and Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire on the castle stage periodically throughout the day.

Enjoy Classic or Unique Snacks
Taking a snack break is another great way to stop and relax. Guests love grabbing ice cream from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street USA and then relaxing on the castle hub grass. Classic snack stands are set up throughout the parks where guests can enjoy popcorn, pretzels, and candied nuts.

Schedule A Resort Break
If you need a more extensive break during your day, then you can always schedule a resort break. Many guests enjoy returning to their Disney resort during the late afternoons when the temperature gets hot. At the resort, guests can swim, eat, or even take a short nap in their room before returning back to the parks for the remainder of the day.
