Planning a vacation to Disney World can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! When vacationing to a destination like Disney World there can be much to think about. For many guests, Disney vacations are a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This can cause a lot of pressure on those who are planning the trip, and many guests want to plan the perfect vacation. While it is true there is a lot to consider when planning your trip, it doesn’t have to take over your life. How much planning should you be doing before your Disney trip? The answer may surprise you.
Choose Your Resort
Choosing where to stay during your Disney vacation is perhaps the most important aspect of planning. Staying on Disney property is a great way to ensure that your vacation will run smoothly. By staying on Disney property you can access free Disney transportation in the form of a bus, Skyliner, or Monorail, depending on where you’re staying. By staying DVC you can experience deluxe resort accommodations like pools with waterslides, large villas, and even early park entry. By renting with websites like DVC Shop you can score deluxe resorts at moderate prices.

Decide Which Days to Visit Each Parks
Choosing which day to visit each park is an important aspect of planning your vacation. You have to know which park you’ll be visiting on certain days in order to make other reservations like dining and Lightning Lanes. If you are the kind of person who likes to “wing it” then you can still play it by ear once you enter the gates, however at minimum you should dedicate certain days to each park. Many guests like starting with Magic Kingdom because it’s such a classic park, but some guests prefer to end their vacation with it instead.

Make Dining Reservations
Disney World’s sit-down restaurants are uniquely themed and have delicious menus. Each restaurant is unique and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Disney World’s restaurants run on reservations, and because they are so popular these reservations fill up quickly. If a sit-down meal is something you wish to enjoy during your vacation then you should plan ahead with advance dining reservations.

List Your Must-Do Attractions
When you plan a trip to Disney World you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the available attractions. While you won’t be able to do all of them, you should make a list of your must-do priorities to experience. This will reduce your stress in the parks, as you’ll be focused on the things that are most important for you to experience. You will also want to look ahead to figure out if any attractions will be closed during your upcoming vacation so you can better make your plans.
