Escaping The Crowds At Magic Kingdom

Visiting the Disney parks for a vacation can be an incredibly magical experience. Something about the Disney parks keeps guests coming back again and again. While there are some slower times of year to visit the parks like after the holidays in the winter time, most of the seasons within the parks can be quite busy and filled with people. The crowds at Disney are kept under control very well, and many guests are dissipated throughout the different attractions and areas of the parks. But there still may come a time during your visit when you will feel the need to escape the crowd. If you find yourself at Magic Kingdom and in need of a retreat, check out these areas where you can escape the crowd.

Center Street Off of Main Street USA

As you head down Main Street USA you’ll come across a little side street on the right side called Center Street. This street is just before Crystal Arts, around the midway point of the street. This little side street is a bit hidden away, and is where you can find the Disney silhouette artists. This area is fairly quiet as not many guests are pausing to take breaks as they walk down Main Street. This is a great spot to sit on a curb and relax for a bit. You might even hear some extra sound effects in this area as an additional bonus.

Hall of Presidents Waiting Area

Even if you don’t wish to experience the attraction itself, the Hall of Presidents has a waiting area that is air-conditioned, quiet, and even has benches available for seating. The attraction itself is calm, dark, and perfect for a break from the crowd.

Columbia Harbour House

This quick-service restaurant is located in Liberty Square and sells fried fish as well as land options like chicken. Columbia Harbour House might seem busy at first, but when you walk upstairs to the second level you’ll find that it’s typically more calm and quiet. This is a great place to eat as it’s air-conditioned, indoors, and not overflowing with people. The food here is delicious as well, with plenty of options for everyone to enjoy.

Tomorrowland Terrace

This area isn’t always open, but when it is it’s the perfect secluded place to hide away from the crowds and relax. Tomorrowland Terrace is located towards the right, just before you enter Tomorrowland. This patio area seasonally operates as a quick-service restaurant, but more often than not it’s closed. However, there are often a few table here that are open and available to sit at.

The Rear of Storybook Circus

Near the backside of Storybook Circus you’ll find a tent-like structure that has shade, seating, and outlets for charging devices. This area is located in Fantasyland past Big Top Souvenirs and is a great place to relax.
