Escaping The Crowds At EPCOT

Figment

Visiting the Disney parks for a vacation can be an incredibly magical experience. Something about the Disney parks keeps guests coming back again and again. While there are some slower times of year to visit the parks like after the holidays in the winter time, most of the seasons within the parks can be quite busy and filled with people. The crowds at Disney are kept under control very well, and many guests are dissipated throughout the different attractions and areas of the parks. But there still may come a time during your visit when you will feel the need to escape the crowd. If you find yourself at EPCOT and in need of a retreat, check out these areas where you can escape the crowd.

Near the Spitting Fountains Outside Pixar Short Film Festival

This area is charming, fun, and never too crowded! Right outside of the entrance to the Pixar Short Film Festival you’ll find some really neat fountains that are a blast to spend time near. These spitting fountains will keep the kids entertained while the grown-ups take a seat and relax for a few minutes. People typically don’t spend tons of time here and crowds don’t usually form. This makes this area a fun and peaceful way to escape the crowds.

The Bathroom Area Toward the Right Side of Journey Into Imagination With Figment

If you continue walking past Pixar Short Film Festival and head towards Journey Into Imagination with Figment, keep going and you’ll eventually reach a nearly empty corner of the park. This little corner is near a fenced in garden area, and there’s a restroom located near the Imagination pavilion on your left. It’s very quiet back here, as it’s off the beaten path and many guests don’t realize it’s back there. The bathrooms are fairly empty here as well.

Bitjutsu-Kan Gallery in the Japan Pavilion

This hidden gem is located in the Japan pavilion within World Showcase. The Bitjutsu-Kan Gallery is not only a quiet place to escape the crowd, but it’s also an interesting exhibit on Japan’s kawaii culture. This exhibit has benches and air-conditioning, and it’s a great place to relax. It’s especially perfect for little ones taking naps in their strollers.

The Hedge Maze Gardens of the United Kingdom Pavilion

In the United Kingdom Pavilion you’ll find a quiet little area with a mini hedge maze. This area is quiet and kids love exploring the hedge maze while adults sit nearby and watch. It isn’t typically crowded in this area, but it can become loud at times as Command Performance, a British rock cover band, will occasionally play.
