Escaping The Crowds At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios

Visiting the Disney parks for a vacation can be an incredibly magical experience. Something about the Disney parks keeps guests coming back again and again. While there are some slower times of year to visit the parks like after the holidays in the winter time, most of the seasons within the parks can be quite busy and filled with people. The crowds at Disney are kept under control very well, and many guests are dissipated throughout the different attractions and areas of the parks. But there still may come a time during your visit when you will feel the need to escape the crowd. If you find yourself at Hollywood Studios and in need of a retreat, check out these areas where you can escape the crowd.

Walt Disney Presents

This walkthrough attraction welcomes guests to explore the story of Walt Disney as they see artifacts from his life and work. Guests can learn the history of the Disney studios and animation, and take it in all in at their own pace. This attraction is quiet, and crowds don’t tend to form throughout this area. This is a great place to take a break from the heat, crowds, and learn something new as well. At the end of the gallery, a short film plays about Walt Disney’s life and his work.

Tower of Terror Courtyard

Near the Tower of Terror attraction you’ll find a courtyard area that’s great for taking a moment away from the crowds. Towards the right of the attraction’s entrance and before the attraction’s exit gift shop is an open area with some benches and breathing room. People usually just walk through this area, rather than spend time within it. It’s a great place to catch your breath and relax for a bit.

Baseline Tap House

Located in Grand Avenue, the Baseline Tap House is a quiet bar and lounge area that sells drinks and snack food. This lounge area welcomes families with children, so all are welcome to relax here. Not only can you get a craft beer on tap, but you can also get snacks like pretzels and charcuterie. This area doesn’t get very crowded so it’s a good place to sit down and relax for a bit before going back outside to the busy park.

Around Echo Lake

The Echo Lake area is typically quiet, peaceful, and without a lot of foot traffic by other guests. Near Echo Lake you’ll find Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction where you can grab a sweet treat while you relax. You can also enjoy other attractions in this area like the Olaf meet and greet, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong Celebration, and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
