There are many different types of Disney vacations that guests take year after year. Some guests prefer lengthy stays, with several days at each park and several days to rest and enjoy their resort. But many guests enjoy short stays at Disney World which can be just as fulfilling and fun as lengthy stays. Guests who are enjoying short stays at Disney resorts might have a shift in priorities: either they wish to spend more time in the parks and less time at their resort, or they wish to pivot to a more resort-centered vacation with just one day at the parks. Either way, here are some of our favorite DVC resorts for short stays.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
This DVC resort is very spacious, and is typically a wonderful value for DVC points. Guests who are renting from websites like DVC Shop might find Saratoga Springs to have the most “bang for their buck”. This makes a short stay on Disney property very practical for many guests. Not only is Saratoga Springs a good value, but it’s also a lovely resort to spend time at. There are several pools on property, beautiful grounds to walk, and it’s within walking distance to Disney Springs. Guests love Saratoga Springs for its laid-back vibe, and many consider it to be a true hidden gem.

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
If you are wanting a more resort-centered vacation for your short stay then consider a stay at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. This resort is great for guests of all ages with its fun boardwalk theme and Luna Park Pool, but it is especially fun for grown-ups and adult-only vacations. Guests can walk to EPCOT from this resort, and they can either walk to Hollywood Studios or take a boat there. Guests can enjoy nighttime entertainment, food stands and stalls, and even Atlantic Dance Hall for those 21 and up.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Right across from Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This resort is great for short stays because of its large pool area called Stormalong Bay. This pool area is basically a mini waterpark, and is only for guests who are staying at the Beach Club. It features sand-bottomed pools and even a lazy river. If you want a resort-focused vacation then this resort is definitely a top contender.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower
If you want something close to the parks then you can’t go wrong with Disney’s Contemporary Resort, home of DVC’s Bay Lake Tower. This resort is not only located on the monorail line, but it is also within walking distance to Magic Kingdom. Using the monorail, guests can get to EPCOT quickly and easily. This resort features a fun and modern design, and is home to several restaurants as well including the very popular Chef Mickey’s.
