When you plan a vacation to Disney World it is always a good idea to come up with some form of an itinerary for your day. Looking ahead at which attractions are important for you to experience is a great method to plan your day at the parks. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to many attractions, some of which are extremely popular. Many attractions are at the top of many visitors’ lists. But what about the attractions that are often overlooked? You can have a wonderful Disney vacation and wait in shorter lines when you go for these less popular attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Discovery Island Trails
One of the best things to do at Animal Kingdom is to wander and explore. Discovery Island Trails is the perfect attraction and place for doing this. As guests enter Discovery Island Trails they’ll get wonderful views of the park’s icon: The Tree of Life. They’ll also come across animal exhibits like flamingoes, otters, monkeys, and so many more. You never know what you might find during your journey through Animal Kingdom and Discovery Island Trails.

Kali River Rapids
This thrilling attraction often flies under most guests’ radar! This water ride is fun for thrill seekers or for guests who need to cool off, or don’t mind getting wet! Guests fly down the rapids and experience sudden drops, sharp turns, and of course, lots of splashing! You won’t leave this attraction dry!

Na’vi River Journey
Most guests are concerned about riding Avatar Flight of Passage, but another Avatar ride is right next door! Na’vi River Journey is a slow-moving boat ride through a Na’vi rainforest. Guests can relax and take in the scenery of this incredibly complex world. This ride also features a large and impressive audio-animatronic Na’vi shaman. Na’vi River Journey is for guests of all ages and heights.

Wilderness Explorers
This attraction is a go-at-your-own-pace adventure. Throughout Animal Kingdom, there are Wilderness Explorers stations set up. Guests of all ages, but kids especially, will love visiting each station and completing each mission for their Wilderness Explorer badges. This fun and interactive attraction is a great way to kill some extra time during your day at Animal Kingdom.

Meet Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost
Did you know that there are character meet and greets at Animal Kingdom? Guests can meet Mickey, Minnie, and other select friends at Adventurers Outpost every day! Guests can have fun exploring and seeing which characters they can find each day.
