Disneyland Closing Early February 24 & 25 For Inclement Weather

Disneyland Welcome Sign

Disneyland will close early on February 24th and 25th due to inclement weather. Guests visiting the park on either of these dates should plan to leave by 11 PM rather than the normally scheduled midnight closing time, and there have been some entertainment cancellations and attraction closures as well.

A Blustery Day Forecasted

The Weather Channel is forecasting rain all day in the Anaheim area, with winds gusting up to 20 mph – an unsafe level for shows. The rain is expected to continue into tomorrow but winds will be much calmer at 8 mph throughout the day.

Park Hours Update: Due to inclement weather, Disneyland Park will be closing at 11 pm tonight. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Entertainment Cancellations & Attraction Closures

Entertainment Cancellations

Due to the inclement weather, “Magic Happens” and “Fantasmic!” at Disneyland Park have been canceled for today. Additionally, the performance of “World of Color – One” at Disney’s California Adventure has been cancelled.

The “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks show is planned to be presented with tonight at 9:30 PM, though this could change to projections due to forecasted weather conditions.

Attraction Closures

Wait times for even popular attractions are low in the park. Some select outdoor attractions such as Radiator Springs Racers and Alice in Wonderland have been closed due to safety concerns, while other outdoor attractions like Autopia, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Matterhorn Bobsleds are still operating.

What Are Your Thoughts?

As always, safety remains a priority for Disney Parks, but it can be a bit of a bummer to have to alter plans at the last minute due to changes in the weather. Will these new closing times, entertainment cancellations, and attraction closures affect your Disneyland trip?
