Visits to Disney World during any time of year are magical and exciting. While it is always advisable to visit during “slower” times, most guests don’t have a choice but to visit during peak seasons. For many guests summer break, spring break, and winter break are the only times of year they are able to take a family vacation. But visiting Disney during these peak seasons doesn’t mean you are doomed to have a lesser experience. There are many ways to get the most out of your vacation during busy times in the parks. If you will be visiting Disney World during peak seasons this year then continue reading for our best busy parks tips.
Arrive Early and Stay Late
Getting an early start to your days at the parks is an important aspect of any Disney vacation, but especially so for those during busy seasons. When you stay at a DVC resort you can enter the parks 30 minutes earlier than other guests. When you take advantage of this perk you can get a ride or two in before the park even opens to the public, or you can hop in line for popular attractions like Flight of Passage or Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. The parks tend to fill up more by 11am or so, but the crowds begin to thin again in the late evening hours. By staying at the parks from open to close you can make the most of your time and experience more of the park despite the crowds.

Purchase Lightning Lane Reservations
Waiting in the standby lines during peak seasons can mean long waits for any attraction. By purchasing Lightning Lane and Lightning Lane Multi-pass for your vacation you can guarantee a ride on your must-do attractions. Certain attractions require individual Lightning Lane purchases, but other attractions all fall under multi-pass. If you book this in advance, you can reserve 3 experiences ahead of time before you even enter the parks.

Book Advance Dining Reservations
If you are planning on enjoying any table-service dining during your vacation then you absolutely have to make advance dining reservations during busy seasons. Popular restaurants like Chef Mickey’s, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Liberty Tree Tavern fill up fast. These reservations can be made 60 days in advance of your first night on property.

Ride Rides During Showtimes
If you don’t mind missing parades and fireworks, then riding rides during these showtimes is an excellent way to take advantage of some shorter wait times for attractions. Typically, guests begin to line up for parades and shows thirty minutes to an hour before they start. This is a perfect time to sneak off and ride some attractions on your must-do list.
