Disney World Snacks That Make the Perfect Afternoon Pick-Me-Up

The Disney parks guarantee a good time for all guests who enter. Not only are they full of attractions, shows, live entertainment, and characters, but they are also a great place to find snacks and other yummy treats. Days at the Disney parks can be tiring. When you arrive for the morning rope drop you might start feeling in need of a pick-me-up by the afternoon. Luckily, Disney has you covered with its many great options. If you are planning a long day at the Disney parks then be sure to check out these Disney snacks that make the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

Ice Cream

What’s the best treat to get during a hot day, cold day, or any day in between? Disney has some seriously delicious ice cream options that will perk you up during an afternoon slump. Throughout the parks there are ice cream stands serving classics like the Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar featuring vanilla ice cream encased in chocolate in the shape of Mickey head. There are more specialty ice cream shops as well located throughout the parks. One of our favorites is the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor located on Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom. Here you can find the All-American Sundae featuring creamy chocolate and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, and whipped cream with a cherry on top.

Coffee

Who says coffee is just for the morning? Grabbing a coffee during the afternoon brings you shorter lines, a break, and a boost of caffeine that you might really need. Throughout the parks you’ll find Joffrey’s Coffee Stands serving various specialty drinks and staples like iced lattes and cold brew. Each Disney Park has its own official Starbucks as well.

Popcorn

There’s no popcorn like Disney popcorn! Sometimes a salty snack is exactly what you need during a hot day at the parks. Guests love Disney popcorn and the smell throughout the parks makes it hard to resist. You’ll find popcorn stands everywhere, and if you purchase a reusable bucket, you can get refills for just two dollars during your entire stay. Guests can find special limited edition popcorn buckets as well that are seasonal.

Dole Whip

Different from traditional ice cream, Dole Whip is a famous Disney snack for a reason. This pineapple soft serve comes in many different varieties either on its own or in a float. There are only a few places to get Dole Whip in the parks, one of which is at Aloha Isle in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom.

Pretzels

A Disney pretzel is another essential snack that guests love! Also located within stands throughout the parks, a Mickey-head pretzel is a cute snack full of salty goodness that is sure to satisfy during an afternoon slump. Served with cups of cheddar cheese, guests love this absolutely iconic snack.
