Disney Vacation Club Points Charts for 2027 Released

Disney Vacation Club Sign at Saratoga Springs

Planning a Disney vacation requires looking ahead, sometimes years in advance. For Disney Vacation Club members, the release of annual points charts is an important moment for their annual vacation planning. These charts dictate exactly how many vacation points are required for every night of the year at each resort, and are extremely helpful making sure you choose the right room type and time of the year to travel.

Disney Vacation Club has officially published the points charts for 2027 covering all of its properties. For members who like consistency, there is good news: the majority of resorts show almost identical point costs for 2027 as they did in 2026, barring standard calendar shifts for holidays. However, owners at two specific resorts, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, will notice some distinct changes that could impact their booking strategies.

Significant Adjustments at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas

The most notable structural changes in the 2027 charts appear at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas. The resort has seen a shift that increases the cost of certain high-demand room categories while lowering the cost of others.

Specifically, the nightly point cost for Value and Club Level villas has increased across most seasons. Conversely, the cost for Savanna View rooms, often the most plentiful room type at the resort, has seen a modest decrease.

For example, during the popular fall travel period spanning October 1 through mid-November, the changes are quite visible:

  • Value Studios: The weekly cost has risen from 76 points in 2026 to 83 points in 2027.
  • Club Level Studios: These exclusive rooms saw a weekly increase from 165 points to 188 points.
  • Savanna View Studios: In contrast, the weekly cost for these rooms dropped from 135 points down to 123 points.

This reallocation suggests that DVC is responding to the high demand for the scarce Value and Club Level inventory by making them “more expensive” in points, while incentivizing the booking of standard Savanna View rooms.

Island Tower

Shifts at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

The changes at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are slightly more complex and have left some members analyzing the numbers closely. In the month of September, typically the season with the lowest point requirements, nearly every room type and view category has increased by one to two points per night.

This includes everything from the new Resort View Duo Studios to the expansive Theme Park View Two-Bedroom Penthouses.

What makes this unique is that points charts typically operate as a zero-sum game. If points are raised in one area (like September nights), they usually must be lowered elsewhere to keep the total number of points in the system balanced. Currently, the charts do not show an obvious decrease in other seasons or room types to offset these hikes.

There is speculation within the community regarding why this is happening. With the recent opening of the Island Tower, some members have noted that certain rooms classified as “Theme Park View” offer obstructed sightlines, primarily facing Disney’s Contemporary Resort rather than a clear view of Magic Kingdom. One theory is that Disney may plan to reclassify these specific units from Theme Park View to a lower-priced Preferred View in the future, which would balance the total points distribution. However, this remains unconfirmed.

Understanding Point Reallocations

For newer members, seeing the cost of a room change can be surprising. However, Disney Vacation Club retains the right to modify points charts to better reflect member reservation patterns and demand.

This process, known as reallocation, helps balance occupancy throughout the year. If a specific time of year or room type is constantly booked solid while others sit empty, Disney can adjust the point costs to level the playing field. To avoid shocking members with sudden price hikes, these adjustments are typically gradual, often taking place over a two-to-three-year period. The changes seen for 2027 suggest that DVC is actively monitoring demand and attempting to smooth out inventory usage across the calendar.

While Disney can adjust the number of points required to book a particular room type, they must allocated the same number of DVC points across the entire resort. This means that when the cost of some rooms are raised in points, other rooms must be reduced to keep the same total points allocation across the resort.

Looking Ahead to 2027

For owners at resorts other than Animal Kingdom Villas and the Polynesian, the 2027 charts will look very familiar. Resorts ranging from Disney’s Riviera Resort and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins to Aulani in Hawai’i have maintained their existing point structures.

While the point costs remain steady for most, members should always double-check the charts for their specific travel dates. Holidays like Easter and Thanksgiving shift annually, which can move specific weeks into higher or lower travel seasons depending on the year.

Wrapping Up

The release of the 2027 points charts provides the clarity members need to begin mapping out future vacations. While stability is the theme for most of the network, the adjustments at Animal Kingdom Villas and the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows highlight the importance of staying updated on program changes. Whether you are eyeing a Club Level stay or a September getaway, reviewing these new charts is the first step toward securing your next magical trip.
