For some guests, visiting Disney World is a family tradition that can be repeated year after year. Many guests find themselves enjoying their vacation so much that they leave the trip and immediately begin planning the next. If Disney World is a vacation destination that you revisit year after year, then creating some special Disney traditions can be a fun way to bring a personal touch into your trip. Whether you visit Disney World once a year, every other year, or every few years, creating traditions during your vacation is very special. Here are some ideas on Disney traditions that you can begin during your next visit.
Check-In Rituals
Having a routine for your check-in day can be a fun way to build anticipation for your trip. Even if you don’t find yourself staying at the same Disney resort each time, you can still easily begin some traditions when you check-in. Whether you immediately go for coffee, find the resort’s bar or lounge, or go for a swim, there are many ways you can enjoy your check-in day. One small tradition you can begin is taking a photo of your room number when you check-in, so you’ll always remember where you stayed when you go back to visit again.

Eating At The Same Restaurant
If you have a favorite restaurant at Disney World then there’s no shame in enjoying it every time you visit! Growing up, my family would always eat at Ohana on day one of our trip. We would book the 9pm slot each time so we could watch Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. Enjoying variety in your restaurants during your vacation is expected but visiting at least one restaurant again and again can be a really special tradition.

Taking A Photo At The Same Place
Picking a photo spot to visit again and again is a great way to make memories of your vacation for years to come. When you revisit the same photo spot during your next vacation you can have fun comparing the pictures and seeing who has grown. Eventually you can make a collage of the photos to display in your home.

Seeing The Same Character
Just like taking photos in the same spot year after year, visiting the same character can bring a similar experience as far as tradition goes. Whether your family’s favorite character is Mickey Mouse, or perhaps you enjoy chasing down more unique characters like Goofy’s son Max, meeting characters year after year is a wonderful Disney tradition.

Visiting The Parks In The Same Order
Visiting the parks in the same order every vacation is a great way to make your vacation feel predictable but still fresh. Many guests enjoy visiting Magic Kingdom first, while some prefer to save it for last. What does your family do?
