Frequent visitors to Disney World are familiar with the classic Disney snacks, and the newer more trendy snacks as well. When visiting the Disney parks, guests can expect to experience a wide variety of sweets, treats, and savory delights. The food experience at Disney World is just as important to some guests as the rides are to others! There are so many snacks throughout parks like Animal Kingdom for guests to appreciate, therefore some of these snacks tend to fly under the radar. Here are some of our favorite snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that we think deserve a bit more attention.
Cheeseburger Steamed Pods at Satu’li Canteen
Entering Pandora means entering a world of Avatar, and Satu’li Canteen serves up food and snacks that appear to be from another world. For entrees, guests can choose from a variety of bowls with beef, shrimp, chicken, and more. But the item served here that’s perfect for a snack is the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods. These bao buns are stuffed with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese. They truly taste like a portable cheeseburger; perfect for snacking and sharing.

Pongu Lumpia at Pongu Pongu
Also located within Pandora- World of Avatar is Pongu Pongu. This snack stand serves the Pongu Lumpia which is a spring roll filled with pineapple cream cheese. This tasty treat is a great pick-me-up and perfect for your Animal Kingdom snack crawl. Pongu Pongu is also where you can find the Rum Blossom cocktail topped with boba pearls.

Buffalo Chicken Chips at Eight Spoon Cafe
Located in Discovery Island, Eight Spoon Cafe is home to a snack that is really quite unique! The Buffalo Chicken Chips combine salty with spicy for a flavor combination that can’t be beat. The chips are topped with buffalo chicken, as well as Tangy Italian Relish and Blue Cheese. Here you can also find goodies like Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Buffalo Chicken, and churros.

Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich at Terra Treats
Also located in Discovery Island is Terra Treats. Here you’ll find a variety of ice cream and other frozen delights. Not only can you get hand-scooped ice cream in cones with a variety of flavors, but you can also enjoy the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich. Yes, it is as good as it sounds! Featuring a brownie layered with vanilla ice cream and edible cookie dough, this sweet treat will truly have you coming back for seconds or thirds.

Pulled Pork or Chicken and Cheese Arepa at The Smiling Crocodile
Another Discovery Island Food spot is The Smiling Crocodile. Here you’ll find the Cheese Arepa either stuffed with pulled pork or chicken. Whichever you choose, you will definitely be leaving feeling satisfied.
