Extended Payment Deadline
If you have a deposit or final payment due during the maintenance window, there is some flexibility built in. Disney is extending the payment deadline for anyone affected to Saturday, July 11, at 10:00pm EDT.
That gives you more than a full day past the system’s return to settle up. So if your due date lands inside the outage, you will not be penalized for the timing, and you have time after July 10 to complete the payment.
Why the System Is Going Offline
Disney has shared a reason for the downtime. The maintenance covers internal upgrades to the reservations technology that supports its operation.
For most guests, the experience should feel familiar once the work wraps. Disney notes that there will be minimal noticeable changes on the front end of the booking platform, so the updates are largely behind the scenes rather than a redesign you will need to relearn.
When the System Returns
The reservation system is expected back online at 4:00am EDT on Friday, July 10, 2026. From that point, guests can resume making and managing reservations, completing Online Check-in, and booking Cruise Activities and Port Adventures.
Disney closed its notice with a message for guests in the middle of planning, saying it looks forward to assisting with cruise vacation planning once systems return on July 10.
