Crews have been busy pumping concrete near the former Liberty Square Riverboat Landing, which will be repurposed as part of the new area. The boom arm was recently positioned closer to The Haunted Mansion, signaling progress in this section of the construction site.
Retaining Wall Construction Updates
The retaining wall near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a key feature of the project. Here’s what’s happening:
- Concrete Pours: The end of the retaining wall was filled with concrete earlier this month, though some circular rebar elements remain exposed.
- Rebar Work: Crews are working on the rebar frame for another section of the wall, which will eventually be filled with concrete.
- Wood Framing: A new section of the wall is currently in the wood framing stage, located near a crane being used to transport large items within the site.
