The nostalgia of the Disney parks is what keeps so many guests coming back year after year. For many repeat guests, the Disney parks are a source of comfort and feel like home. Comfort and coziness is important for so many guests in order for them to feel safe and to have the best time they can during their vacation. Certain attractions at the Disney parks are definitely a comforting and safe space to be in. Those rides that one might consider to be “comfort” rides are those without drops, surprises, and speed. These comfort rides can be found at all four parks, but here are some of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s for you to enjoy.
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s crown jewel attraction is Kilimanjaro Safaris. This attraction takes guests through an African savanna and gives them a safari experience they’ll never forget. The animals within this attraction are free-roaming with some being able to get quite close to the ride vehicle. Guests love this attraction for its authentic safari experience, kids love being able to see their favorite animals up-close, and all guests enjoy the comforting animal encounters.

Na’vi River Journey
If the thrill-seekers in your family are headed toward Pandora- The World of Avatar in order to ride Flight of Passage, there is a gentle attraction in this area as well for those who can’t handle thrills. Na’vi River Journey is a sl0w-moving boat ride through a bio-luminescent rainforest where guests can see Pandora’s nature. A large audio-animatronic Na’vi shaman sings to guests during this experience. There’s truly an attraction for everyone’s taste at all of the Disney parks!

Affection Section and Conservation Station
The newly remodeled Conservation Station is home to Bluey and Bingo, as well as other things for animal lovers. Guests can see how the animals are fed, watch medical procedures, and learn all about conservation and caring for animals here. Affection Section is located right outside, and features a petting zoo with goats, pigs, cows, and other gentle creatures. Guests must take the Wildlife Express Train to get to Conservation Station, which is a gentle train ride lasting around 15 minutes.

The Festival of the Lion King
With showtimes running every hour on the hour, Festival of the Lion King is a Broadway-style performance that you won’t soon forget. Experience puppetry, acrobatics, and your favorite songs and moments from The Lion King film performed live. Once it’s nearly showtime you are welcome to enter the theater with little to no waiting required. If you miss the show then don’t worry; another will play in the next hour.

Discovery Island Trails
Once you enter the park you are greeted with the iconic sight of the Tree of Life. Animal Kingdom’s park icon is so much more than just a symbol. It’s also the location of Discovery Island Trails.
