Disney World is a magical vacation destination for families, but many adults love traveling to Disney and have vacations full of fun and memories. Some guests might not realize that adult-only vacations can be extremely fun and just as magical as traveling with children. Magic Kingdom is a classic Disney park that brings the magic of your favorite Disney films to life. While there are many attractions that children love at Magic Kingdom, there are also attractions that adults will enjoy. If you are traveling to Magic Kingdom this year as an adult then check out these attractions you just can’t miss.
Space Mountain
If you’re an adult who loves a good thrill ride then you are sure to enjoy Space Mountain. Located in Tomorrowland, this roller coaster flings you through space in total darkness. While the attraction itself only reaches a top speed of 28 miles per hour, it feels much faster because of the darkness, sharp turns, and sudden drops. You’ll soon see why this attraction is a fan favorite and also a Disney classic.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Located in Frontierland, this is one of Magic Kingdom’s newest attractions. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is based on the characters you know and love from Princess and the Frog. Guests join Tiana as she searches for a band of critters to perform at her restaurant’s party. Featuring a 5 story drop, this attraction is great for adults and thrill seekers.
Carousel of Progress
Another classic Disney attraction can be found at Tomorrowland. Carousel of Progress was a show that Walt Disney himself worked on, and it debuted during the World’s Fair in 1964. This animatronic show features a rotating theater as guests watch the American family experience the progress and change throughout the 20th century. This attraction is perfect for adults who not only love Disney history, but are interested in general history as well. This attraction also offers a great opportunity to relax in a dark and air-conditioned theater.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Located in Adventureland, this attraction is another Disney classic. Pirates of the Caribbean has been operating at Magic Kingdom since the 1970’s. This attraction features a hearty cast of pirate animatronics, both original and new. Following a pirate’s life, guests appreciate this attraction for its soundtrack, theming, and animatronics.
Swiss Family Treehouse
Also located in Adventureland, this walkthrough attraction is great for adults. Based on the treehouse from the classic Swiss Family Robinson film, this replica treehouse reaches high into the skies of Adventureland. At the top of the treehouse guests can catch a great view of the rest of the park. This attraction is fun to experience at night as well!
