Transportation can take up a surprising amount of time during a Walt Disney World vacation. While complimentary transportation is available throughout Disney World, some Disney Vacation Club resorts make getting to the parks particularly easy. Staying within walking distance of a park or having access to the monorail or Disney Skyliner can help guests spend less time traveling and more time enjoying their vacation. If easy transportation is important to you, consider these DVC resorts for your next stay.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
It is hard to beat Bay Lake Tower if Magic Kingdom is a priority during your vacation. Guests can walk from the resort to Magic Kingdom, which means you don’t have to wait for transportation at all. Bay Lake Tower guests also have access to the monorail at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Resort Monorail travels to Magic Kingdom, while guests traveling to EPCOT can transfer to the EPCOT line at the Transportation and Ticket Center. This location can be especially convenient at the end of a long Magic Kingdom day when you simply want to get back to your villa.

Disney’s Beach Club Villas
Guests staying at Disney’s Beach Club Villas have one of the most convenient locations for visiting EPCOT. EPCOT’s International Gateway is within walking distance of the resort, making it easy to come and go throughout the day. Disney’s Hollywood Studios can also be reached using FriendShip Boat transportation, and the Disney Skyliner station near EPCOT’s International Gateway provides another transportation option in the area. Beach Club can be a great choice for guests who plan on spending a lot of their vacation at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows gives guests several choices for getting around. The monorail stops directly at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and can take guests to Magic Kingdom. EPCOT is also accessible by monorail with a transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Guests can also use water transportation to travel between the Polynesian and Magic Kingdom. Having multiple transportation options can be useful when you don’t want to rely entirely on Disney buses during your vacation.

Disney’s Riviera Resort
The Disney Skyliner is one of the biggest transportation perks of staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Riviera has its own Skyliner station, and the system connects the resort area with EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. This makes getting to two of the four theme parks quick and easy without needing to drive or take a bus. Bus transportation is available for trips to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, giving Riviera guests convenient transportation to all four parks.

Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas is another great choice for guests who want to be close to the parks. EPCOT is within walking distance, and guests can also walk to Hollywood Studios when they don’t mind a longer stroll. FriendShip Boats provide transportation to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios as well. The Disney Skyliner station at EPCOT’s International Gateway is also just a short walk from the BoardWalk area. With so many options nearby, guests can choose whichever method of transportation works best for their plans that day.
