There are many different ways to enjoy a Walt Disney World vacation. While some families love spending plenty of time relaxing at their Disney Vacation Club resort, others prefer to be in the parks from morning until night. If your family falls into the second category, then location and transportation might be more important to you than resort amenities. Choosing a DVC resort that makes it quick and easy to get to the parks can save valuable time during your vacation. If you plan on spending most of your Disney trip inside the theme parks, check out these DVC resorts!
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
For families who spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom, it is hard to beat Bay Lake Tower. Guests can walk between the resort and Magic Kingdom, making it especially convenient for early mornings and late nights. The Contemporary is also located on the Resort Monorail, giving guests another transportation option for Magic Kingdom as well as access to EPCOT with a transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center. If Magic Kingdom is the park your family plans on visiting multiple times during your trip, Bay Lake Tower can make those park days much easier.

Disney’s Beach Club Villas
Beach Club Villas are a great choice for families planning to spend plenty of time at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance is just a short walk from the resort, so guests can easily come and go throughout the day. The EPCOT resort area also offers access to Hollywood Studios by FriendShip Boat, with the Skyliner located nearby at International Gateway. This location can be especially convenient during EPCOT festivals when your family might want to visit the park several times throughout your vacation.

Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
BoardWalk Villas offers many of the same transportation advantages as Beach Club Villas. Guests can walk to EPCOT and have convenient access to Hollywood Studios using nearby transportation options. Disney specifically lists BoardWalk Villas as being within walking distance of EPCOT with access to Hollywood Studios by FriendShip Boat or Disney Skyliner. Being able to reach two parks without relying exclusively on buses can make BoardWalk a great home base for a park-heavy vacation.

Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort is another convenient option for families who plan on spending most of their vacation in the parks. Riviera has its own Disney Skyliner station, which connects guests to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Instead of waiting for a bus to these two parks, families can hop aboard the Skyliner for a relaxing ride. Bus transportation is available for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, so all four theme parks are still easy to incorporate into your vacation.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
Families who plan to divide a lot of their park time between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT should consider Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The Polynesian is located along the Resort Monorail route, providing convenient transportation to Magic Kingdom. Guests can also use the monorail system to reach EPCOT by transferring at the Transportation and Ticket Center. The resort’s location makes it especially useful for families who want to spend long days in the parks without adding complicated transportation plans at the beginning and end of each day.
