The Disney parks are well-known vacation destinations for families. Part of the reason why they’re so popular is because they have so many attractions for so many different tastes. If you like thrill rides then you’ll love Disney’s thrilling attractions and roller coasters. If you like attractions that are gentler, there are plenty of family rides and slow-moving attractions for you to enjoy. If you don’t like rides at all then you’ll love the live entertainment and shows. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy at the Disney parks. For guests who dislike thrills, here are some of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s best attractions for you.
Na’vi River Journey
If the thrill-seekers in your family are headed toward Pandora- The World of Avatar in order to ride Flight of Passage, there is a gentle attraction in this area as well for those who can’t handle thrills. Na’vi River Journey is a sl0w-moving boat ride through a bio-luminescent rainforest where guests can see Pandora’s nature. A large audio-animatronic Na’vi shaman sings to guests during this experience. There’s truly an attraction for everyone’s taste at all of the Disney parks!

Kilimanjaro Safaris
Animal Kingdom’s crown jewel attraction is Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is exciting without being overly thrilling. Kilimanjaro Safaris takes guests on an African safari on Disney grounds. The safari vehicles aren’t on tracks and are actively driven by cast members who talk about animal facts and educate on the animals currently living on Disney property. The animals during this experience are free roaming so you never know what you might see! This attraction is truly wonderful for guests of all ages and for those who don’t love thrilling attractions but still enjoy excitement.

Discovery Island Trails
If you don’t want to actually ride anything there are still plenty of attractions for you to enjoy at Animal Kingdom. Discovery Island Trails is a series of walkways and paths that take you through different animal exhibits, and also give you a close up view of Disney’s Animal Kindom’s Tree of Life park icon. Guests can see otters, flamingoes, monkeys, and many more. Once you start exploring you’ll find it difficult to stop.

Zootopoia: Better Zoogether
Animal Kingdom’s newest attraction is a 4D show experience at the Tree of Life Theater in Discovery Island called Zootopia: Better Zoogether. Join Nick, Judy Hopps, and other characters from the Zooptopia films as they celebrate Zoogether day. This show features 3D effects as well as 4D real life effects like shaking seats, water, and other surprises.
