Deluxe DVC resorts are a magical experience for anyone who has the chance to stay at them. Whether you’re already a DVC member or looking for resale points for a trip, there are plenty of options to choose from. One that stands out though is Bay Lake Tower, from its location to amenities, this is a perfect DVC resort for a Disney World vacation.
Walkway to Magic Kingdom
Bay Lake Tower is a prime resort spot because you are a few steps away from the Magic Kingdom entrance. With easy access in and out of the most popular theme park in the world, this is a luxury to be able to be one of the first and last in Magic Kingdom.
There’s a security checkpoint on the walkway to Magic Kingdom, so you can avoid the long lines from the Ticket and Transportation Center as well. This alone could be a good enough reason for someone to stay at Bay Lake, but we have a lot more benefits!
Top of the World Lounge – A Villain’s Lair
Open from 6pm to midnight every day, Top of the World Lounge sits atop Bay Lake Tower and is Disney villains themed. You do have to be a DVC member to enter and it’s first come first serve and you have to be staying at a Disney World hotel to enter.
The Top of the World Lounge is special because you get a view of the Happily Ever After firework show at the Magic Kingdom. The music plays through the speakers at the lounge and while enjoying a refreshing drink, you can view the fireworks with a minimal crowd on top of Bay Lake Tower.
Dining Options
At Bay Lake, you can enjoy dining options at Contemporary Resort and there’s plenty to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or a dining experience, there’s something for every occasion.
More expensive, but memorable, dining options are California Grill and Chef Mickey’s. Steakhouse 71 is a good option for a great sit down dinner. The quick service option that offers a variety of entrees and sweet treats.
Room View
A reason Bay Lake Tower is so sought after is because of its magical room views. The most popular option is theme park view, where you get a once-in-a-lifetime view of the Magic Kingdom park and fireworks.
If you can’t secure a theme park view, that’s okay! Each side of Bay Lake Tower offers a beautiful view of Disney World property. On the other side, you can look out to Bay Lake or the Contemporary Resort.
On the Monorail Loop
Monorail loop resorts are perfect for getting around to experience other resorts and easy access to the Magic Kingdom. Bay Lake Tower is connected to the Contemporary Resort, where the monorail station is.
On the monorail loop, you can visit resorts like Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. You can even take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness! All these resorts offer different dining experiences and amenities for guests to enjoy.
