The Disney parks are full of magic and memories, but the attractions are the main reason why guests love coming to Disney World. Each Disney park has its own attractions that entertain, thrill, and even educate guests. The Imagineering seen during these attractions is unmatched, and the theming is what really makes the “Disney difference”. Many guests are familiar with the popular attractions in each park like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. But what about those attractions that tend to have lesser crowds and shorter wait times? These attractions that guests can just hop on and wait a short time for are some of the best experiences in the Disney parks. If you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom this year then keep an eye out for these attractions with shorter wait times.
Na’vi River Journey
Located in Pandora, The World of Avatar, this attraction will transport you to Pandora. Na’vi River Journey is typically a fraction of the wait time of Flight of Passage. Na’vi River Journey is not just a short wait, but it’s also a family attraction. This ride has no height requirement so anyone can enjoy it. This is also a great attraction to take small kids on while another adult rides Flight of Passage with the older kids. You’ll float down a river going through a bio-luminescent rainforest while observing a large Na’vi shaman.

The Wildlife Express Train
This attraction is located near Kilimanjaro Safaris and is the perfect place to retreat to when park lines are getting long. The Wildlife Express Train is something you can simply hop aboard, with the train ride itself taking around 7 minutes. Guests can catch glimpses of some behind the scenes areas while they journey. The end destination of The Wildlife Express Train is Rafiki’s Planet Watch which is home to attractions like Conservation Station and The Affection Section. Because these attractions are walkthrough experiences and interactive there is typically not much waiting involved. Conservation Station has areas where guests can watch the animals’ food being prepared and even watch medical procedures being done. The Animation Experience is also located here, where guests can participate in a lesson on how to draw a Disney character.

Festival of the Lion King
With showtimes running every hour on the hour, Festival of the Lion King is a Broadway-style performance that you won’t soon forget. Experience puppetry, acrobatics, and your favorite songs and moments from The Lion King film performed live. Once it’s nearly showtime you are welcome to enter the theater with little to no waiting required. If you miss the show then don’t worry; another will play in the next hour.
