When making plans to visit Disney World, most guests think about which parks they want to visit, which attractions to experience, and what shows are must-dos for them. But did you know that your Disney resort can be just as full of experiences as the Disney parks? Spending a full resort day at a DVC resort is a great way to spend your downtime during your next Disney vacation. Whether you’re an introvert, traveling with small children, or doing an adult-only vacation, there are many satisfying ways to spend a full resort day. Here are 5 reasons to spend a full resort day at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
1. Delicious Meals and Restaurant Options
Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower has seemingly endless options for guest dining. Popular table-service restaurants at Disney’s Contemporary Resort include Steakhouse 71, Chef Mickey’s, and California Grill. Perhaps one of the most popular restaurants of these is Chef Mickey’s because of its character dining experience. Guests can enjoy a buffet full of American-style favorites as they meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald Duck. Guests also love California Grill for its Signature Disney Dining Experience, multi-course prix-fixe meal, and stunning views of the Magic Kingdom from a distance.

2. Fun Pools and Water Play
Disney’s Contemporary Resort features three pools, two of which feature waterslides. The Bay Cove Pool is located at Bay Lake Tower, and the Main Pool is located at Disney’s Contemporary. Bay Lake Pool is a leisure pool at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for guests who need a bit more relaxation and quiet with their swimming experience.

3. Shopping and Other Fun
Guests love Disney’s Contemporary Resort for its many stores. In the main area of this resort there are several stores where guests can shop to their heart’s content. Guests can even take the monorail to other resorts for even more shopping and activities. Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also home to an extensive arcade where guests can have fun and play all day long!

4. Community Hall
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is home to Bay Lake Tower, which is home to a Community Hall for DVC members. The Community Hall is a great hangout space for guests to enjoy each other’s company as well as participate in daily crafts and activities, rent DVDs, and play board games.

5. Rest and Recharge For Your Next Day at the Parks
The most valuable reason to spend an entire day at your DVC resort is to be able to have energy for the remainder of your trip. If you book yourself full of park visits only, then you will tire very quickly. By relaxing at your DVC resort for a day you can have enough energy to finish out your vacation strong!
